IELTS Academic Writing task 2 - The Opinion About Zoos For Animals

Some people think that zoos are cruel and all the zoos should be closed. However, some people think zoos are useful to protect the rare animals. Discuss both of views and give your opinion?

Some people believe that zoos are so rude that it should be closed. On the other hand, others believe that zoos benefit to protect the scarce animals. I totally argue that zoos are needed for protecting the rare animals.

It is certainly true that zoos are cruel for animals and it should be closed. Nowadays, there is at least one zoo in every country. Many kinds of animals are caged in zoos. They are separated from their family in the forest. And they also are caged in one small place. In addition, the animals are fed by zoo keeper with limited food. Like human, the animals have rights to choose where to live. And the suitable place for them is in the forest. There, the animals can live freely, and they can search foods by themselves. Different from forest, in the zoo, animals has limited movement. For instance, birds cannot fly in the sky where they should express themselves properly. As a result, the zoos are one of the cruel places for animals, and it should be closed to keep animals rights.

On the other hand, zoos are useful to protect rare animals. In this era, the growing of humans develop rapidly, to fulfill their demand, they should enlarge the place in every region. By doing so, the forest can decrease gradually and the animals can lose their place to live. The ways to protect rare animals are building the zoos. Then, they also can preserve their generations in zoos. For example, every kind of animals lives in the same cage that causes animals with different gender to make their generation naturally. Although the zoos smaller than forest, zoo keeper always tries to create the zoo condition same as forest by planting many kinds of trees. Additionally, the zoos help zoo visitors to learn and see several rare animals fast. To illustrate, if people want to see rare animals in the forest, they need much time to search them and it is also dangerous for people to go to forest. Hence, the zoos benefit either animals or societies.

In conclusion, I believe that zoos are useful to protect the scarce animals in this era. And it benefits society to learn about rare animals.

Academic writing IELTS task 2 - Important Positions of Young People in Government

Some people argue that young people are not suitable for important positions in the government while others think it is a good idea. Discuss both of views and give your opinion?

Most citizens believe that youngsters are not reasonable for significant positions in government, whereas others disagree and argue it is a great idea. I argue that young people can lead the important positions in government.

It is certainly true that the young people are not suitable for important position in government. Someone who works in that place has the big responsibilities to manage and to control its citizens particularly in an important position. Moreover, the position should be filled by the person who has many experiences in government area. The adults are the best choice to take the responsibilities of management country and make it better. They have experienced all of the cases and know how to solve the problem because they have many experiences. Thus, an adult is suitable for government.

On the other hand, there are many benefits for government which has a youth as an officer. Firstly, the youngsters have more enthusiasm than adult in solving the problem. A care in points is that many problems in government will be solved fast by youths who have the tremendous soul. Secondly, everyone who has the big spirit such as youngsters has the creative minds. For instance, there is an idea to make Bandung to be a smart city in Indonesia. The idea comes from Ridwan Kamil as a youth in government. Hence, young people give many advantages for government itself.

Therefore, I believe that youths are reasonable for important positions because they have the spirit and the creative minds to control all of problems in government. So, youngsters can be chosen to work in that position.

How could it be woman give birth to 69 children?

In developing country, woman health is the concern issue of government particularly in pregnancy stage. If these cannot be controlled, it creates some new problems. In certain country, an awareness-raising program of education that concerns about health for woman is still rarely happen. In this article there was surprisingly phenomenon that woman give birth to 69 children.

According to a local monastery’s report to the government in Moscow, in the year between 1725 and 1765 Mrs Vassilyev popped out 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four of quadruplets, over 27 separate labors with the grand total 69 children. This is the astonishingly news that woman give birth reached 69 numbers of children. If this is true it means Mrs Vassilyev give birth 16 twins times 37 weeks, 7 triplets times 32 weeks, 4 quadruplets times 30 weeks. This is begun from 18 to 40 years of age. It happened because woman go through menarche around age 15 and it is exhausted at menopause.

It is true that woman before menopause has a chance of having a baby. Unfortunately, egg quantity and quality diminish. So nowadays,  woman is rarely getting pregnant in over 44 years old. According to condition of Mrs Vassilyev, this is a serious risk to the mother’s life because it creates some diseases such as  hemorrhaging, skyrocket with multiple births such as quads.
However, some experts said that there is dubious condition because this is rarely happen. For example: to give birth of twins, triplets, and quadruplets come about in one of two ways either multiple ovulated eggs are successfully fertilized by sperm or a single fertilized.
Recently research, there is intriguingly studies that said the number of female reproduction could be much greater than we can imagine. It called oocyte stem cells that might allow woman to produce eggs in almost unlimited number. In result, surrogate mothers can now carry the biological fetuses of other people potentially increases the maximum number of children possible within one family.

In conclusion, Mrs Vassilyev phenomenon’s is be able to happen but it is very rare. However with the new studies it will be able to happen in the future. Government as the leader of country should take some policy to control number of birth.

The prominent historic place in my hometown, Lhokseumawe, Aceh

Good evening guys, I am going to address you about the prominent historic place in my hometown, Lhokseumawe.

There are several historic places in Lhokseumawe but the most popular is Goa Jepang which is located at Medan - Banda Aceh street in Blang Panyang. It has a historical value as a hiding site of DAI Nippon army, the heritage of colonialism. To come to this spot, it needs 1km from the downhill by walking through the hilly route.

By visiting Goa Jepang, there are several activities for visitors to do. Firstly, they will know about the history that happened in the past because they can observe directly to the caves. Why creative geniuses are often neurotic?

I am going to tell you about "Why creative geniuses are often neurotic?"

First of all, There are several scientist such as Adam Perkins and Jonathan smallwood made the researches of neuroticism. We have to know what the meaning of Neuroticism. It is a personality trait that lends itself to worry, anxiety and isolation. There are two characteristics of neuroticism that will be explained below.

The first characteristic is overthinking. The people who is overthinking more susceptible to mental illness than happy-go-lucky types. Sometimes, they have negative thinking and unsuitable to have high-risk professions because they can panic easily. In addition, Smallwood said that the people who has highly negative thoughts show a lot of activation in a brain region, the medical prefrontal cortex, is involved in the appraisal of threat. Finally, they are feeling as if they are under threat.

The second is self-generated thoughts. It can make people miserable and sensitive amygdalae. They can imagine the problem that does not exist that involved in processing fear and anxiety. Even though it has such a bad impacts that can invent problems and stresses, but it has advantages that linked to planning skills and the ability to delay gratification. To illustrate, Isaac Newton who built telescopes and delved into mathematical theories tend to be better at coming up with creative solution for thing when feel sort of miserable. He keep the subject constantly and wait till the first drawing open slowly and clear light. As a result, it can benefits themselves to solve the problems.

To sum up, the brains of neurotic people might have a particularly persistent. And there is no one done the experimental work yet that would prove that the same processes cause neurotic worrying and creative genius.

The Titanic

Good evening folks,, I am going to address you about the lesson that we can take from the Titanic which was the topic that I got in the last speaking class in this week.

To begin, the Titanic was the luxurious and the finest ship ever built in the world. The RMS Titanic left Southampton for New York on April 10, 1912. Some richest people and most famous had paid large sums of money to sail by using it. The Titanic was a huge ship which was larger at 269 metres than of the tallest buildings of the day. And with nine decks, she was as high as eleven storey building. She carried 2,224 passengers. They are 329 first class, 285 second class and 710 third class passengers with 899 crew members. To feed a small town for five day journey, she carried many foods including 40,000 eggs, 36,000 apples, 111,000 lbs of fresh meat and 2,220 lbs of coffee.

The Titanic's maiden voyage was in 1912, and did sink on April 14, 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean, taking 1,517 of her passengers and crew with her. There are several causes of the disaster. Firstly, there was only one of six warnings of icebergs that was received by the Titanic wireless operators. So, she made the fatal collision with an iceberg at 11.40pm. Secondly, even though Captain Edward J. Smith knew that since the spring weather in Greenland cause huge chunks of ice. But, he still took a dangerous route by sailing the ship through that way. The impact that they faced was such a great loss of life. Many passenger drowned in that time. It was over 1,500 passenger and the other people were loaded into 20 lifeboats. Whereas, there were 473 empty seat available on lifeboats.

Those problems arise the issues about the capacity of lifeboats.
Why the lifeboats were not enough to accommodate all of the passengers, and why those were not full. Actually, when she made a collision with iceberg, the passenger did not realize that the Titanic would sink because they believed that the ship was strong enough to face the term of this, and was unsinkable. So, at the time, the crew did not wake up their radio operator to listen for a distress call. Also, There ware no one could be blame although the officers in charge of loading the boats for the sinking which had contributed to the miraculous loss of life.

So, for those reasons, the government make the regulations due to improve safety produces at sea such as covering 24 hours wireless operation, crew training, proper lifeboat drills, lifeboat capacity for all on board and creation of an international ice patrol.

IELTS Academic Writing task 2 - The Problem of Private Cars

Unlimited car use has brought us a lot of problems. What are these problems? And should we discourage people to use cars?

It is undeniable that the using of private car has risen, causing some problems upon society. There are several causes of these cases, but it is not realistic to ban the unlimited car, and there are several solutions that should be taken by the government.

First of all, it can be seen that many problems have been rising recently due to private vehicles, damaging the environment and resulting air pollution. For instance, a tremendous number of unlimited car use poses much smokes which can damage the environment and even the society, because the car uses more fuel. It also can make society get illness such as cough and heart disease. Moreover, the using of private car leads to traffic jams, and it needs a large parking area which is difficult to find in big cities, nowadays. As a result, many problems will continuously happen because of the private car.

To solve those problems, the government should take an action. The first solution that the government can apply is to encourage citizens to reduce dependence on using cars. To illustrate, if citizens use public transportation such as bus and taxi, it will be more efficient. The use of public transportation can reduce the pollution especially in cities. Also, the government should make public transportation to be reliable. Hence, the society can feel fresh pollution, and it can save energy and cut carbon dioxide.

To sum up, it is certainly clear that there are various reasons for these problems because of unlimited car use and also the government needs steps to solve the problem by doing several solutions explained.

IELTS Academic Writing task 2 - The Environmental Problems

Some people believe that environmental problems are too big for individual top deal with, while others think that individuals should take some action. Discuss both views and give your opinion?

Some people think individuals are difficult to handle environmental problems. While others believe that the problems can be tackled individually. I argue that individuals can solve environmental problems starting by taking several actions in daily activities.

Nowadays, there are many environment problems happen in each region. The problems are so huge to solve personally that the government should help the society. For instance, the government should educate citizens about how to avoid an action that can cause the environment problem. If the citizens cooperate to prevent problems, the environment will be clean. Moreover, there should be regulated by the government for someone who makes a violation of environmental problems such as illegal lodging and burning forest. The society cannot control those criminal actions without the policy. As a result, it is difficult for individuals to tackle environmental problems.

On the other hand, even though it will be hard for society to handle environmental problems, but they should pay attention to prevent problems in daily activities. There are many human activities that certainly result in problems that can damage the environment. To illustrate, the citizen must turn the lamp off if they go out from the house because it can harm the environment. In addition, people should reduce an enormous amount of plastic using when they do some shopping. The plastic can be replaced with paper which is one of the solutions to protect the environment friendly. Furthermore, clean environments can be kept by throwing the rubbish in the trash bin. Hence, individuals can preserve a clean area by taking several actions.

To sum up, I totally believe that an ozone-friendly can be protected individually commencing to do a small thing. Also, by doing good activities, the environmental problems can be handled personally.

IELTS Academic Writing task 1 - Expenditure on Fast Foods by Income Groups, UK 1990

The line graph compares three kinds of junk food consumption in the United State from 1970 to 1990.

Cloning

I'm going to address you about the topic that I got in evaluation day last week. The title is Cloning. First of all, in this era, cloning arises many controversies. Cloning is not only less than sex, it would freeze evolution and destroy the people chances for survival in the future.

Cloning is asexual reproduction. The doctor who does cloning takes the cells, gen or organism of one human or animal to make a duplicate of them. It benefits in some medical uses. the cloning of genius person also benefits for the citizens. Although it has the advantages, but it also has the problems.
By doing cloning, it means that it therefore bypasses both the biological benefits of normal reproduction and the emotional, psychological and social aspects such as courtship, marriage, love and family structure. The result : Human evolution is halted.

Additionally, Cloning also arises the problems for human species to evolve further because the human prone to diseases, far from achieving perfection, and the capacity of the intelligence is limited. And the important thing, the human have to survive in the earth because nowadays the resources are already pressured by human population growth. And limiting the population to one planet puts the human in risk of extinction from all-out nuclear, biological warfare, climate change and catastrophic meteorite impacts.

On the other hand, human should move into space. So it means, the human who want to move should increase the tolerance to radiation. The people will need more intelligence to construct habitats and social skill to advance to work together with a team.

In my conclusion, if the humans want to expand into space, so they cannot to freeze human evolution. It means, to keep the human evolution, no need to do cloning.

Syrian Refugees

I am going to describe about the topic today. This talks about Syrian Refugees. There is one big question about it, why aren’t Gulf Countries taking in Syrian refugees?

Most people from countries in conflict Syrian tried to cross the Mediterranean to Europe by using boat. They take the risks journey to escape from their country. There are 11 people drowned every day in 2015 so far. They went to Europe because the Gulf countries close the door for them. GCC (Gulf Corporation Council) has six countries that is the wealthiest. They are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Arab Saudi and Uni Arab Emirat (UAE). They did not want to take the Syrian refugees although they are the rich countries.

No one of GCC (Gulf Corporation Council) want to take Syrian refugees. They just gave the aid by fundraising money such as Kuwait and UAE. Kuwait gave $800 million since 2012 and UAE has given $364 million. But it is still lower than $1 billion from UK and $3 billion from US. GCC has two reasons why they did not take the Syrian refugees into their country. The first is they have never signed the International conventions on refugee rights and statelessness. The second is their wealth just to concern among the small populations of citizens.

The issue became most popular because many on social media, in newspaper columns and in satirical cartoons, the citizens have voice calls to the leaders to open the door. The solution for this problem is the Gulf Countries should change the policy. The have could begin to integrate with the international refugee system. They also could immediately make work visas available to Syrian and the right to bring their family.

In my conclusion, this talks about the humanity sense. The GCC as the wealthiest countries should help the Syrian refugees not only donor the money but also to take them into their country.

3D Machine (Academic writing)

In this era, the development of technology grows rapidly. And there are many new sophisticated technologies. One of them is 3D printing. Okay, now I am going to tell you about 3D printing that will change the world.

First of all, we have to know what the 3D printing is. It is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The step to make it is spraying toner on paper to putting down layers of something more substantial until the layers add up to an object.

There are two big implications. The first is that more goods will be manufactured at or close to their point of purchase or consumption. It means that the people can make their own household-level production of some of things. The 3D printing not only has the advantages, but it has the disadvantages such as they have to pay for raw material and the IP. IP is the software file for any designs you cannot find free on the web. In addition, the machine can offset by the elimination of shipping and of buffer inventories.

The second is that goods will be infinitely more customized, because altering them will not require retooling, only tweaking the instructions in the software. It will cause businesses all along the supply, manufacturing and retailing chains to rethink their strategies and operations.
On the other hand, China as the largest country that has many big manufacturing of technology, it will not be a loser. It will have a domestic market to serve on local basis and its domestic market is huge.

In the conclusion, 3D is predicted by some additive manufacturing advocates that this technological development will change the nature of commerce, because end users will be able to make their own manufacturing rather than engaging in trade to buy products from other people and corporation. Thank you

Academic Writing IELTS Task 2 - Family

Recently, some human think that family is important for children to spend their time with. While others believe that it is not necessary for them or sometimes it gives the negative effects. I argue that there are two different opinions for both considerations.

It is certainly inevitable that the family is the place where the children should spend their free time with them. They can do many activities together such as sharing the problems because the children who interact with the others might have the problems. And it is properly for family to take the responsibilities to solve clearly those barriers. To demonstrate, the children that have many kinds of different attitude friends have to interact well with them. To make good communications and relationships with their friends, the family can teach and guide them. Then, they attempt to find the solution to solve the problems and it can be done in their free time. As a result, sharing problem is necessary for children to do especially with their family when they have free time.

On the other hand, the children who spend their spare time only with the family have the negative effects. To face this era, they should be a social person. By being a socialist, the children must spend their free time with the others such as teachers and friends. Additionally, they will get many new experiences from interacting with each other or even becoming an independent person who can handle so many other people. They learn how to be better in the future from their experiences. For instance, if the children have good friends, they also will share about good experiences. Thus, children get more knowledge from their friends by communicating in free time.

For those reasons, I fully endorse that the children should interact with the other people not only their family but also the other people because they will gain many benefits for themselves.

Martin Luther King JR (Academic writing)

I would like to describe about the history of Martin Luther King JR. I will divide this topic in three main parts. They are his life, his education and his career.

To begin, Martin Luther King JR was a Baptist minister and social activist. He was the second child of Martin Luther King JR. (1899-1984), a pastor, and Alberta Williams King (1904-1974), a former schoolteacher, was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He married Coretta Scott (1927-2006), a young singer from Alabama who was studying at the New England Conservatory of Music, and settled in Montgomery. They have four children: Yolanda Denis King (1955-2007), Martin Luther King III (born 1957), Dexter Scott King (born 1961) and Bernice Albertine King (born 1963).

Martin is a good student. He attended segregated public school, and he admitted to Morehouse College where he studied medicine and law. After graduating in 1948, he entered Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania, where he earned of Divinity degree, won a prestigious fellowship and was elected president of his predominantly white senior class. In addition, King enrolled in a graduate program at Boston University. In 1953, He was completing his coursework, and he earning a doctorate in systematic theological two years later.

Martin was driving force behind watershed events such as Montgomery Bus Boycott and the March on Washington. He became the epicenter of the burgeoning struggle for civil right in America. He was a protest’s leader and official spokesman for Rosa Park (1913-2005), a secretary of the local National Association for the Advancement of Colored people chapter, who arrested because she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a Montgomery bus. Because of Martin’s struggling, so the Supreme Court ruled segregated seating on public buses unconstitutional in November 1956. Unfortunately, He Martin was fatally shot by James Earl Ray (1928-1998) while standing on the balcony of a motel in Memphis on the evening of April 4, 1968.

All in all, Martin Luther King JR played a key role in the American civil rights movement, and he sought equality for African Americans, the economically disadvantaged and victims of injustice through peaceful protest.

The two maps show an island which experiences the alteration after there was the construction of some tourist facilities.

It can be seen from the maps that there were significant change between before and after the constructions. Many facilities were established for tourist such as restaurant, reception, accommodation, swimming place and pier for the boat.

To look closer in more detail, there were only some trees on the surface before the construction. And there were no any facilities for tourist. IELTS Academic Writing task 2

Some people argue that young people are not suitable for important positions in the government while others think it is a good idea. Discuss both of views and give your opinion.

IELTS Academic Writing task 2 - The Purpose of Museums

Some people think museums should be enjoyable places to attract and entertain young people. Other think the purpose of museums is to educate, not to entertain. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

In this era, to appeal and to entertain youngsters to visit museums, it should become enjoyable places. Others think that museums are not to entertain but to educate, and it becomes the purpose of museums itself. I argue that the enjoyable museums can captivate people to sightseeing.

To begin, museums are the places where the societies study about all of the knowledge in many sectors in the word. There are many types of museums such as the national history, private, children, ceramics, geology, design, arts and transport museums. All of the buildings of museum aim to educate people especially young people. Moreover, they observe directly to the objects inside. For instance, geology museum located in Bandung is one of the popular museums where youngsters observe all of the heritages of ancient Egyptian artifacts which historically important. Also, they might hold the object to understand more, and might read the historical story of item more detail that often is located next to the item. Hence, the museum is the place to educate young people by seeing directly the objects.

On the other hand, a museum should aim to entertain and to attract adult and youngster as well as to educate. The museum should be interesting in order to appeal them. Also they can study enjoyable by writing the notes, by taking a rest while they were tired and even by taking the picture of items there. To illustrate, if there is a visitor takes the picture because the place is comfortable and posts it then by using social media, automatically, it can captivate the others to visit too. And it benefits for museum itself. In addition, the charming designs and the convenient facilities should be attractive as well as functional. Thus, an enjoyable museum should be provided to captivate and to entertain the visitors.

To sum up, it seems to me that museums with the good facilities and unique designs make the visitors more attractive to visit. Besides to educate them, the can study enjoyably and observe directly.

IELTS Academic Writing task 2 - Solar energy

The utilization of energy, nowadays, has increased significantly as the world’s population and industrialization has risen. Oil and charcoal as the main resources of energy are in a critical condition now and the usage of it should be controlled at its best to keep its storage stable. In order to do so, experts and researches have been developing the new alternative energies which can be used to support some kinds of activities. Solar energy is one of the alternative energies that will be explained in three main parts, which are its definition, production process and advantages and disadvantages.

Solar energy is energy generated from sun’s heat and radiant light using sophisticated technologies such as solar heating, photovoltaic, solar thermal energy, solar architecture and artificial photosynthesis. Such technologies facilitate the process of converting sun’s energy into thermal or electrical energy. It is the cleanest and most abundant renewable energy source available especially in equator-line-near region. Moreover, it is a high appealing source of electricity as it has large magnitude of available energy. Besides, solar energy known as a flexible energy and its plants can be built as utility-scale solar power plant. Some of plants can be used to store the generated energy after the sun sets.

Energy based oil is the highest uses. It becomes a problem which is no guarantee of oil resource. Therefore, solar energy is good alternative to fix the problems. To produce solar energy is simple and environmentally friendly which is sun as basic energy, and people use the glasses to collect the light of sun, and it enters to concern in one line or one point. Also, it produces hot steam. The high of hot steam is using to be going on the turbine where it is producing the electrical energy.

Solar energy has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of solar energy are compared with other energy; the first, the energy can be directly produced and constantly available until the end of the world; the second, it cannot be mixed with other energy because the sun shines directly to the world without a barrier except the cloud; the third, the solar energy is obtained from the sun without the cost. Besides, the solar energy has disadvantages which are still depending with the weather conditions. For instance, if the weather conditions do not support to obtain the energy, it cannot be got directly.

To sum up, some researches develop solar energy which is one of the alternative energies to solve the problem that humans face in the world, and there are some drawbacks as well as benefits.

New Robotic Exoskeleton is controlled by Human Thoughts.

In this era, many new sophisticated technologies are being developed by researchers in order to help people in problem solving. One of them is the exoskeleton, connecting between human’s brain and machine. It has advantages and disadvantages as well. I argue that the exoskeleton benefits for people, and help them when they cannot walk.

Nowadays, researches from several countries such as Germany, Korea and Japan have been developing the new robotic exoskeleton. It has two parts which is as an important role to control itself. The first is the exoskeleton is robotic devise that fits around the human’s hips and legs. The second is a dark cap on the human’s head or human’s body, covered with electrodes that facilitate the connection between human’s brain and machine.

This robotic exoskeleton machine has disadvantages in medial field that each patient would require, the specificity. The price will be expensive for people who want to meet the unique needs in creating a custom exoskeleton. Moreover, the machine provides over support for patient where they have muscular atrophy or tissue damage. If the patient uses this tool too much, they will never be required to use the damaged tissue and therefore would not help to rehabilitate it. On the other hand it will be totally useless if it does not provide enough assistance. As a result, it is hard to create exoskeletons appropriate for unique patients.

However, the exoskeleton will be essential for rehabilitation to help people when they cannot walk. To illustrate, people with neurodegenerative diseases, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and patient with spinal cord injuries can walk when they use the exoskeleton robotic. They use this machine by controlling with their mind without brain surgery. In the exoskeleton study, researchers use the electroencephalograms (EEGs) which are the method of recording electrical activities by placing conductive material on the scalp, and use a small controller that light up different pattern. Hence, the exoskeleton can do the commands to stand up, sit down, walk forward, turn left and turn right.

To sum up, I believe that the exoskeleton gives advantages for unique patients, and could be used by people in the future.
