The
table compares the using of underground railway system in six cities
based on their age size and the number of passenger every year.
It can be seen that there are three cities which serve many passengers
older than the other cities which serve a few passengers.
The oldest underground railway was London. It had opened in 1863, and
had 394 kilometers of route and had 775 million passengers. The second
oldest was Paris. Also, it was the second largest of lands with 199
kilometers of route which was half of London size, and had 1191 million
passengers. Besides, Tokyo was the third oldest. Yet, it had the largest
number of passenger which had 1927 million passengers.
The
newer underground railway was Washington DC. It was the largest with 126
kilometers of route, and had 144 million passengers. Different from
Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles that are the newer underground had
11 kilometers of route and 28 kilometers of route. Also, they were the
shortest of size. Therefore Los Angeles and Kyoto had the few
passengers, but Los Angeles still had more passengers than Kyoto with
only 45 million passengers per year.
