The utilization of energy, nowadays, has increased significantly as the world’s population and industrialization has risen. Oil and charcoal as the main resources of energy are in a critical condition now and the usage of it should be controlled at its best to keep its storage stable. In order to do so, experts and researches have been developing the new alternative energies which can be used to support some kinds of activities. Solar energy is one of the alternative energies that will be explained in three main parts, which are its definition, production process and advantages and disadvantages.
Solar energy is energy generated from sun’s heat and radiant
light using sophisticated technologies such as solar heating,
photovoltaic, solar thermal energy, solar architecture and artificial
photosynthesis. Such technologies facilitate the process of converting
sun’s energy into thermal or electrical energy. It is the cleanest and
most abundant renewable energy source available especially in
equator-line-near region. Moreover, it is a high appealing source of
electricity as it has large magnitude of available energy. Besides,
solar energy known as a flexible energy and its plants can be built as
utility-scale solar power plant. Some of plants can be used to store the
generated energy after the sun sets.
Energy based oil is the
highest uses. It becomes a problem which is no guarantee of oil
resource. Therefore, solar energy is good alternative to fix the
problems. To produce solar energy is simple and environmentally friendly
which is sun as basic energy, and people use the glasses to collect the
light of sun, and it enters to concern in one line or one point. Also,
it produces hot steam. The high of hot steam is using to be going on the
turbine where it is producing the electrical energy.
Solar
energy has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of solar
energy are compared with other energy; the first, the energy can be
directly produced and constantly available until the end of the world;
the second, it cannot be mixed with other energy because the sun shines
directly to the world without a barrier except the cloud; the third, the
solar energy is obtained from the sun without the cost. Besides, the
solar energy has disadvantages which are still depending with the
weather conditions. For instance, if the weather conditions do not
support to obtain the energy, it cannot be got directly.
To sum
up, some researches develop solar energy which is one of the
alternative energies to solve the problem that humans face in the world,
and there are some drawbacks as well as benefits.
